Dr. Mulualem defects to Sweden... Yeah?

Finally..........yes, Finally.....Dr. Mulualem Tarekegne has understood how joining the parliament undermined the CUD leaders in prison. Well, she didn't even say that in those words.
I don't know whether the defection of Dr. Mulualem to Sweden can be seen as positive or opportunistic. But here is her record.
Prior to May 2005..... Mulualem had appeared on live debate about agricultural policy and wooed the public with her eloquence, passion and beauty. She immediately step out of her husband's shadow and became a rising star in Ethiopian politics. She was elected to parliament with resounding majority.
May 2005-August 2005.....Dr. Mulualem continued her charm politics on the private media, developing her trust and likeability.
August 2005.......After internal intrigues, Dr. Mulualem was handpicked by Lidetu Ayalew to represent UEDP Medhin in CUDP's executive committee.
September 2005......Dr. Mulualem voted not to join parliament unless CUDP's eight points precondition weren't met.
-Dr. Mulualem supported Lidetu Aylew in his fight with the top leaders of CUDP. Her argument was that Lidetu was hurt by the party
October 2005... Lidetu, Mulualem, Mesfin Ayalew, Mushe Semu and Abdurhaman(all from UEDP) start serious disagreement with the leaders of the party. They were boycotting meetings and talking about the dissolution of Kinijit.
-Lidetu was suspended from the party. Mesfin, Mushe and Abdurhaman stuck with him. Mulualem stopped talking, but .
October 2005-February 2006.... Dr. Mulualem continued her relationship with Lidetu. She visited the prisoners a handful of times. She wasn't trusted though.
February 2006....Mulualem joined parliament and the CUD caucus which was formed illegally with the help of EPRDF and the American embassy. She joined parliament despite her vote not to join in September... and despite that vote landing the leaders in jail.
Judge for yourself.

Zagol,

Thank you for the chronologically recorded info. That is why I come here to visit, because you are the best.

Dr. Mulualem Tarekegne is an opportunistic degenerate. Anyone that joined TPLF after the May 2005 election in the sham democracy is guilty! and needs to be rebuked. Why did she join Ayalew who betrayed his boss? I think Ayalew is a Tegrea. I condemn Mulualem for knowingly joining TPLF sham parliament, while killing Innocent Ethiopian youngsters and imprisoning the winners of the May 2005 national election. She waited for the right moment to reject TPLF, because she was bored in Addis and felt it was time to change a city, may be go to Stocholom Sweden? Kiss my ars, she knows trouble is coming and she smelled it from far. I admire her super senses though, she is a smart virus like HIV that changes its characteristics as the situation permits.

I have been in Ethiopia during the election and the massacres. I have seen Dr. Mulalem in a number of political debates and rallies. Though some of her acts are inconsistent, I still give her the benefit of the doubt. I do not believe she will held a position inconsistent with her husband! I think CUDP international should welcome and embrace her!

There is no late comer in politics. Even if she made a disasterous mistake by joining the rubber stamp parliament, we should accept her apology. Politics is about making a lot of friends than enemies. This is a devastating defeat for the Weyane parliament and banda Ledetu.

Co-sign the above anon.

The struggle is to see a free Ethiopia where all her citizens live in harmony. We all make mistakes and no one is immune from making one unless the person is dead. So I say KIL should embrace her and use her talent to garner more support and intensfy the struggle.

This what Dr. Mulalem says about her participation of mafia groups and what expirience has gained. I think her dissociation is not as wrong as her participation of the so called parliament which is mafia group.

Comeon people...let's learn to forgive and forget when it comes to those who are trying to redeem themselves while they still can. Let alone Dr. Mulualem, we should even forgive Meles if he is willing to redeem himself.

Above Anonym,

Did I read you right that you would like to forgive Meles? Get the F@#$ of this site go to AigaForum.com, that is where you belong.

BTW, What would you like us to tell the families of the many dead? Forgive and forget? I am not sure If I understand the reasoning behind your forgiveness. This is not a church where you say your sins are washed away just because you say sorry. If Meles returns all the money he stole from Ethiopia and hand power to the people who won the national election, then hand over all the TPLF and AGAZI soldiers who were shooting from roof tops then we might let the justice system handle the situation, but forgive? uh uh uh! that idea doe not exist in my vocabulary.

She needs to apologize the people first and be part of the struggle in the future

I think Dr. Mulualem is an opportunist. As to here interview with Tensae she is on Scholarship leave. Probably she could be a TPLF messenger like Lidetu to further divide the diaspora.

How can you build democracy without reconciliation? Everytime I read/hear messages bent on avenging the past, I am reminded of how far we are from truely building a democratic society.

Trust no one, especially those engaged with Lidetu and Woyane, I beleved Mulualem and Lidetu during the early times of thier appearance on the media to debate with Woyane leaders.
Now they are here. We always needed determined leaders, not swining here and there

I have seen her repeatedly in streets of Addis after she joined the Shame parliament, girls, women, men and children insulting and telling her how much she is stupid to betray her leaders and joined the Lidetu's group. The one I have see her around Piaza was very terrible, she got ashamed and entered her car and left the place. I don't think she left Addis becuse she is not confortable with Meles's parliament, she left Ethiopia for she not confortable with the gustures and lack of acceptance from the people

Trust no one, we understand from Dr Berhanu's book that Lidetu has a long plan to serve Woyane. Lidetu's actions didn't came to be seen on one day. He was doing evil things in Ethiopian politics since he is in Wollo
We better take care of Her too

Long live Birtukan Mideksa!!!Reconcilation is not allowing people to do the same thing again and again. I will not allow Mengistu to rule Ethiopia again so as to Meless and Mulualem.Yeahunu Yibas. How the Weyane are trying to divert attention, Shabia Terorist, Somali war, Star Buck, Millenium Celleberation etc. If you are fool Mulualems TPLF awarded scholarship, you can call it defection

I believe everybody's fury, anger and suspicion is very much understandable.Knowingly or unknowingly, individuals we once trusted have done a lot of damage to us. But we must not forget that our struggle is not against them, and we must not be fooled to consume ourselves in that kind of debate. If they've been won over by TPLF for whatever reason, we must always try to win them back and join our struggle. Dr. Mulualem, along with her husband Dr. Admasu, has taken the initiative to self-correction. I think we should welcome both. We'll be better of with them than without them. Let's not forget how tremendous their contributions have been during the early days of the struggle.
Thank you!

Hi Guys,
Long live Shibre!
Why Dr. Brhanu is in prison. After all Ethiopians abroad do not have shortage of activists. Why Mulualem defected when only one week remained on the decision of the court to imprisoned leaders. Is that to infulence the court, a new strategy of KINIJIT to struggle from abroad or a TPLF tactic. Ohhho
Politics is not a childrens

What a relief. One more economic refugee to Sweden. They love refugees in Sweden, especially those who claim political asylum, while the truth is economic. Good for you. Eat and get well and never return to Ethiopia. We can do without you.
