Staying positive

Girma Kassa, a regular writer on ET websites called on TPLF members to end their silence in the face of gross injustice. I agree with all of Girma's points. We shouldn't stop calling for dialog with EPRDF without putting our eyes off the human rights abuses and injustices it is committing. We should also desist from any push towards armed struggle. Ethiopia can't afford more wars.
I, for one, will continue exposing EPRDF's repression. I ask my readers to do the same without indulging in the worst forms of ethnic slurs which I sometimes see in the forum of this blog.

Well said Zagol!

Nobody wants to stoop to the level of these dedebit thugs who are the anti-thesis of chewa Ethiopians. But, it seems that is the only way to communicate with these fascist murderers.

Hi EZ,

I hope you are not Andargachiew Tsigie.

As Ethiopian Review used his website to propagate false rumours and his side of the story (from Berhanu Nega, Berhane Mewa to Shaleqa Yoseph), it will be a diservice to Ethiopia if you do the samething.

Abugida posted the article and to their credit took it out immediatly after people protested against it.

Reconcilation is a good thing for Ethiopia. The jailed leaders never failed to remind Zenawi to sit down for a dialogue. Even the OLF which is considered extremist by TPLF asked for a dialogue.

But what Girma basically did on that article was praising the devil for what he is not accomplished. He went too far in writting postive things on Zenawi's resume. Not fair.

Zenawi started leading Ethiopia by making her land locked, and then continue by firing 40 university professors --- from their he never stopped destroying our country step by step.

Thank you so much EZ! This last couple of day, you have managed to exceed our wildest expectations, thank you! Thank you!

I am in total agreement with you regarding civility and mutual tolerance. We are not home to bigots no matter where you are coming from! We are all for tolerance and mutual respect! I hope we will achieve all this once the Woyanie cancer is out of our body and mind. Woyanies are poisoning everything!

Woyannies are the scum of the Earth, they are the worst insect Humanity has to deal with. They betray everyone, and they hope to come back and be friends with again. They betrayed the OLF as soon as they held power, then they betrayed their cousins to the North and now they betrayed the Amara people, then they ask OLF to be their friends to suppress the Amara people. What a confused insects they are. Right after they realized ever Ethiopian is against them they looked for friends anywhere and everywhere. So Americans realized the delicate position Woyannies are and asked them to invade Sopmalis for exchange of assurance to stay in power for a little longer, what do Woyannies do? they jump at the opportunity and take it. They invaded Somalis under the pretext of national security, Somalis live in their turf, what national security are they talking about? They should have said, America paid the money and we took the opportunity. Now they are looking for freids anywhere and everywhere, last week they organized meeting Eritrean opposition. The Eritrean opposition should by now know they too will be betrayed. So Woyannies are the worst insect there is, all humanity should use all the DDT to eliminate this insect.

zagol, I appreciate your dedication and I realize it looks like we are weak and need to "get along" with Woyannes. We can not give in to Woyannes because the root of our problems emanate from tigre. Eriterian issue is a tigre issue, self determination issue is a tigre issue, thievery is a tigrean concept. The sooner we realize that we need to secede from them the better off we will be. Forget talking about the good tigre people. It is too late. Please spare us from pro tigre talk.thank you

It is noted that the current (Feb. 22) issue of The Economist has an uncharacteristically favorable article on Eritrea, saying it can "help or hinder progress in the Horn." The same issue has an equally uncharacteristic slap at the rival Ethiopian regime, asking "Should the West go on helping a repressive Ethiopia?" It starts out with an outline of aid projects in Ethiopia, as if "the West's" only interest in Africa was fighting poverty. Only at the very end does it mention the strategic struggle in Somalia which is driving the West's alliance with Addis Ababa. This is pretty indicting, but one can smell empty hand-wringing—or, at best, a warning that Meles Zenawi may not prove to be a stable proxy in the long run... An excerpt from The Economist:

Should the West go on helping a repressive Ethiopia?

Above anonym,

I like the proverb, its so fitting to the anonym above you. I think the comentator above you is Tegrean who is worried TPLF will be villified.

"komatan komata kalalekew gebto yefeteftal."

I laughed for minutes after I read that.

I think it is a good strategy, maybe we should work harder on creating division among the TPLF cadres. Any idea on how to buy a hodam woyane?
