Yalemzewd Bekele free on bail

(by Meqdela)
The Federal High Court yesterday decided that that Yalemzewd Bekele, the lawyer working for European Commission's representative here in Addis Ababa, has a right defend the charge of attempting to overthrow the government, without being in prison. The court rejected the prosecutor's request for the denial of bail.

I hope Yalemzewd stands firm in her beliefs in acting to defence of human rights in Ethiopia in spite of the personal attack from figures camuflaged as Government in Ethiopia.

God bless the fearless and may God give them strength...

She is freed on bail not because there is a rule of law.She got freed since she is working for EU.The tyrant is afraid of upsetting his bosses at EU.I wish her good luck and I hope EU will send a stern warning to the tyrant to keep off his blood socked hands from her.

Hiwehatawi,

I don't even know if it is a real name. You are the lazy one-not the 74 million Ethiopians. Because you are lazy and coward, you come up with this stupid idea of pretending to be a TPLF member or supporter and insult the Ethiopian people hoping that they will be agitated and rise up against TPLF while you are sitting your stincky lazy ass somewhere in DC. If you were creative and brave you would have come up with plans and useful ideas to bring democratic change in Ethiopia. I am sure you are some damn us who doesn't even participate in demonstrations. You deliberately used a Tigrian name to make sure we believe you are TPLF member or supporter. Idiot!!!!!!!!!!

Go to hell...

Aleqa. What is the matter with you? Are you surprised?
Don't you remember some of these words 'Hiwehatawi' used to insult Ethiopians? You do it very often, in your songs, while drunk, while happy on small victories, while torturing cizens, while on drug,...etc.
I don't think there is nothing new except being too frank at this time while you are pretending to be fair by releasing innocent citizens for not working under your command.
Poor Aleqa we have heard much worse insults from your top leaders recently, remeber Sebhat Nega's interview for your media.
You may forget it but not Ethiopians.

Hiwehatawi,

What kind of in human comment you delievered here? We Ethiopian People love our Tigrian brothers and sisters and a true Ethiopian in the leadership. How you come across with such a stupid mentality? Why you insult more than 77 million Ethiopian people? Do you have any mental disorder? If not please think as human being. Any Power here on earth has a responsibility & accountability. It is used to serve the people not to rule.I will say again, Not To Rule. Not to torture & kill innocent people. The blood of these innocent Ethiopian Crying to God, like the blood of Abel.Demanding Justice. No matter how subtil and smart Melese is, justice will come sooner or later.
Hiwehataw, don´t fool yorself. You are covered under your nickname form the peolple of Ethiopia but not from The Almight God. One day you will die and accontable for what you said. Finally I would like to advise you, please turn back 180 degree and make peace with God, with yourself and with human beings on earth. If you get internal peace, your thoughts will be changed.

God bless you!

Yalemzewd,

What an immense relief to hear you are finally set free! This is another instance that shows the world you, Kinijit leaders and other innocent citizens were/are in jail for a trumped up charges.

Given the country’s current situation and the international pressure against this rotten regime, it was clear you and other heroes would be free.

Hey Yalemzewd, never give up your struggle. The time is coming. This butcher and blood thirsty government is running late and is at the verge of its disgraced death. Trust me Woyanie will go forever before your “trial” date.

Thank you for the sacrifice you paid. God bless you. God bless Ethiopia.

how about alemayeu and the other person that was also mentioned in the paper that you did not mention here?

My advice is:
Can't you do that?
What we Ethiopians lack is mainly to finish the job what others have started. If you feel Alemayehu & others need the same do it yourself. You don't need to ask permission from anyone.

What would be the implication after the release, on bail, of Yalemzewd? Any political expert, please suggestion what to expect in this unpredictable situation? Please pay no attention to the rubbish comments posted on this site.

The message of the many fade ups in this forum is simple:the Addis ababa led opposition has brought the morale of our citizens low.Their township culture is in direct varience with the majourity of Ethiopians who live scatterd throught the land. The towenship encourages loquacity, empty boasty as great exploit, where as the rest of Ethiopians despise it in favor of practicality. The solution for this is change the stratgy:the provincials need to be leaders. The Addis crowd is not qualified for leadership for three reasons:
1- Many of them were engaged in killings and rorturing the brave childreen of the peasants under Mengistu.
2-Those woh served under Mengistu are also the very people who transferd power to the enemy and dispersed for their safty-without msking any attempt to regroup and resist-the cowards melt away.
3-The very people who surrenderd power insist now they must be leaders,Even in the interest of the nation when the majority yeald to ther demand, instead of leading they are still fighting. It would have been wise from the statrt forthe people to say ,they had their chance then, they surrenderd -no more chance now.How many times we have to let the blind lead us? .Why the people from Gondar,Wollo,Gojjam and the Oromo continue to permit this urban crowed dectate the future of the lives of the majourity? For two years they have done nothing but fight.Because of this opprtunists the future of the nation is at risk.
Finally, the provincials need come to the fore and lead Ethiopia to freedom through practical means, let the urban crowed indulge in their empty talk. Many truly believe and come to this forum ,now, to isist it be shut, because it serves not any one but the big mouth "urban rats".
Ethiopia is burning to the bone ,this cowards find ample time ro run their mouth under the guise of anonymity. They live in the bubble of their own shallow realm and superficial pretence. They believe not in accountablity, responsiblity, and commitment.Of course, there is exception to every generality:this statment is not mean a dicrayal of every individual that lives in Addis-However I denounce the settled yet dominant characterstic feature of the t "Mentafiw Alem" Hence, what ever is said here is said in this sence only.
