Once again...On the court

(By Ethio-zagol)
Bedru Adem, Kinijit council member, has been under EPRDF custody since 31 October 2005. Nonetheless, the court today decided that he had led a stone-throwing protest in Addis Ketema area on the 1 Nov 2005, the day after he landed at the Maekelawi prison where he stayed the next four weeks and then transferred to Kaliti. What do you call this?

The international media have been silent about the decision of the court. AP’s new reporter Anita Powell hasn’t yet arrived here. I can’t criticize an international news outlet with no correspondent (temporarily) in the country for not reporting the trial. But where is the BBC? Will Amber Henshaw please stand up?

TO OUR HEROES

LIBERTY OR DEATH

Patrick Henry

Mr.President no man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism as well as abilities of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the house. But different men often see the same subject in different lights and therefore,I hope that it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen,if entertaining as I do,opinions of a character very opposite to theirs I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and with out reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The question before the house is one of awful moment to this country. For my own par I consider it as a nothing less than a question of FREEDOM or SLAVERY, and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject out slavery, and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the FREEDOM of the DEBATE.It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at TRUTH and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to GOD and to our COUNTRY .Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, though fear of giving offense,I should consider myself as guilty of TREASON TOWARDS MY COUNTRY and of an act of disloyalty towards the majesty of the haven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

Mr.President, it is natural to man to indulge in the ILLUSION of hope, we are apt to shut our eyes against a PAINFUL TRUTH and listen to the songs of that siren, till she transform us into beast. Is this the part of wise men engaged in a great arduous STRUGGLE for LIBERTY? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who having eyes, see not,and having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation ? For my part whatever anguish of spirit it may cost,I am willing to know the whole truth,to know the worst and to provide for it.

TO OUR HEROES IN PRISON AND TO THOSE WHO DIED

By Abraham Lincoln

Fourscores and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war resting whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can longer endure.we are met on a great battlefield of that war.we have come to dedicate a portion of that field,as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live.It is altogether fitting
and proper that we should do this.

But in a large sense we cannot dedicate we cannot secrate we can not hallow this ground. The brave men ,living and dead who struggle here have consecrated it,far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note nor longer remember what we say here, but it can never for get what they did here.It is for us for the living rather,to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion that we here highly resolve that THESE DEAD SHALL NOT HAVE DIED IN VAIN THAT THIS NATION UNDER GOD SHALL HAVE A NEW BIRTH OF FREEDOM AND THAT GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE,FOR THE PEOPLE SHALL NOT PERISH FROM EARTH.

Melles Zenawi and his Agazee militia leaders might end up in jail for possible war crimes in Mogadishu. Europe is investigating possible war crimes committed on Somali civilians under pressure from Human rights agencies. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/05/world/africa/05cnd-somalia.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin

Ask yourself, who is behind sponsoring all the terror in Ethiopia ?????????? Swallow it, It is USA. SAY IT LOUD TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE it is their administration who is transforming Ethiopia into a terrorist country.

It is a high time in our country and in our history. Never in our history got a group of people who had a peaceful democratic election charged for treason and genocide. What can you do for your country when your country is in danger? What can you do for your country when justice is distorted? What can you do for your country when the people future darkened by someone who does not care for the country future. Hitler was once a leader who led the people of Germany in distraction. The German youth were saluted him as their one of the best leader and followed him for their destruction. Later on, the story were changed and Germany end up divided in to two and the people of Germany lost their brother and sister as a result of brain-dead leadership. Do not late emotions lead you? Give your self some time and think and see what is going on in your country. Don’t be a blind follower or opportunistic. Remember time will make you loose what you acquired unless you have a free and democratic government. Stand for your right and since you have a mind think and react as a human being and a responsible citizen. When you do that you can clearly see the danger of your country. What can you do to stop that? You are born to this time of the century. Your country needs you and you have a big responsibility to prevent the disaster. Don't be a shameful follower like Germany youth who followed Hitler, or Italian youth who followed Mussolini. They led their people and their country to distraction. You can be a leader of your people for a better direction. Don't undermine your ability. You are equally born to this world and you have a right to be someone like those people. Don't let your right and freedom controlled by someone who tries to take your will and your beloved one will by force. You can stand for freedom and human right and help your country to get out of the danger your country is facing. It is a high time in our country. When justice is becoming a tool to suppress the people will be resulted to darken the hope of the poor people. As Ethiopian everyone has a responsibility to overcome this situation. Are you ready? Do you want a freedom, do you want someone to respect your right, and do you want your children and grand children to have a peaceful country. It is now up to you and it is your responsibility to bring that change. It is a high time in our country when justice use to suppress people voice and criminalize the innocent that will tell you your country is in danger. Your people need you, your country needs you. What can you do and don’t expect from any one. You are the one who will take your country from the danger your country is facing.

Some of us are still waiting on this or on that to come and rescue us. There are many brave Ethiopian's who are willing to cary this tourch. They are about to explode on the horizone to do great things for this country. Who have come to say ,I will not permit any one to tie me with some kind of invisible chain no! no!.If this message is blaocked in this board you can be sure it will cerculate through other outlets.Ideas need to be tolerated as the issue that concerns every one is National-where every citizen should have equal say.The message is I hope you post my ideas instead of removing it as it happend yesterday. As of now poletical talk should end.Begin to do!do!do do do do ....action only action is needed. No more poletics. All Ethiopians set a side what ever preferrence you may have.Set a side your priority for this or that party.Put only Ethiopia at the top of the agenda. Then, go for action:suport, train ,equip, and feed what you already have.Simple, you dont need to wait for any thing. The truth need to hit every one of us in the head ,and we must resist flatery. At this time no one should be any where with some conceald pretence for SELF.Now, it is often easy to put ideas and seek support and agreement to this ideas, but we will be hard pressed to carry through what we agreed upon unless we are willing counciously to resist moment by moment the intrusion of self in this area. The gole need to be (God willing after victory) to hand over autority to the people-provided this is our purpose, then, we need to get busy. This is real service.

The Ethiopian Government should deport the terrorists to Europe and let them deal with them. The Europeans love to bitch and complain, but alwalys ready to call the United States for help when their back is against the wall. The entire continent is a homosexual festival. Where were these Europoeans when Somalis were being tortured by these fanatical terrorists. War is hell. The Ethiopian Military had given these elements ample time to disarm but not only did they refuse but went on to carryout terroist attacks. Civilians were asked to evacuate and most did. If the Army wanted to level the enire neighborhood, it can easily do so. It is sustaining casualties because of its desire to minimize civilian casualties. We should all be proud of the Ethiopian Army's Action in Somalia. It is a necessary action executed in the most professional manner. I personally will like to thank them.

Smile, there are better days a head for Ethiopia and Ethiopians. That is a message from GOD! Fear not! Cry not! despair not! Help is on the way! When the time comes, you will have a government so full of wisdom, morale and grace that it is going to fulfill your unexpressed wishes and needs. Their entire demeanor will satisfy your senses, quench your thirst and feel your stomach. Our parents used to say a yemiyategeb enjera kemesobu yastwekal. There will come a day when you will feel you have the right government even before you see them do a single thing. Promise!
